Web site problems

I have a two year subscription, however, I do not have access to the digital editions of beer and brewer. I would like to look at back issues, but cannot gain access. When looking at the website it mentioned I could gain 6 months free, but I was led to believe I would receive free digital editions for the length of my subscription. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to www.beerandbrewer.com, register as a user on the left hand side of the home page, you will then be sent a confirmation email which you need to click to complete registration, then you can go to the Digital Edition page to view the back issues  

When I  try to login to the web site I get the error "Your login has been blocked, Please contact the administrator."

This is because your account has not yet been activated. When you initially registered, the web site will have sent an email to the email address that you registered with, that contains a link to activate your account. This is necessary to confirm that we do have your correct details. This email can sometimes be caught in anti-spam filters so please check any anti-spam software you may be running.

Whilst trying to place an order on the web site, I got disconnected/interrupted and when I try to reenter the information it said that the username and password already exists.

Your account has been created already and you will need to login with your username and password instead of registering as a new user. Please try logging in and if the problems persists contact us and we will reset your password. The web site will have sent an email to the email address that you registered with, that contains a link to activate your account. This is necessary to confirm that we do have your correct details. When I get to the checkout of an order I receive an error: Error code XX

This usually indicated a problem with the payment gateway processing your card details. For a full list of errors, please click here.

When I load the web site, the screen is virtually blacked out with text barely visible.

It sounds like your browser is not loading all of the images and styling for the page. This is usually caused by a poor network. Please try to refresh the page, and if it persists check with your network administrator or internet service provider for more help with this problem.

Subscriptions/Renewals

Hi I recently purchased a 2 year subscription (on line) of your magazine but have not yet received the first issue.  I purchased it as a christmas present for my partner, and I was wondering if you could tell me if it will make it to him on time before christmas?

You do have the option to request to start with the current issue, which in this case being xmas we can either send the first issue direct to you to give to your gift recipient, or still have the first issue sent direct to the gift recipient and we can send you a gift card to give to your gift recipient for xmas.

I would like to subscribe to your magazine for my husband for Christmas. How do I go about this please?

Please go to our web site subs page and pay using your details and the shipping details can be your gift recipients, or you can add your gift recipients details in the customer notes section, meaning we will send you the current copy (meaning your subscription starts from the current issue) and then future issues will be sent directly to your gift recipient

You can also request a gift card be included or email to you.

This will need to all processed and received ASAP prior Christmas day to ensure we have time to pack and post the order to arrive to you in time.

What is the process for a gift subscription? 

The process for a gift subscription is to choose your length of subscription, 1, 2, or 3 years. You can put your address in the billing details and then the gift recipients address in the shipping details. Subscriptions automatically start with the next issue, so your gift recipient will receive the next issue to be on sale (please see below for on sale dates). 

If you would like to give the magazine to your gift recipient for their birthday, Father's Day, Christmas, etc, you can request to have the subscription start with the current issue, in which case the magazine will be sent. Please allow time for the magazine to arrive, being posted ex Sydney via Australia Post, on a Wednesday each week. 

Alternatively you can request a gift card to be emailed to you, which you can give to your gift recipient, prior the magazine arriving. You may like to go with the gift card option and even buy the current issue in a newsagent, Dan Murphy's or participating stockists to give to them on the day, and then the subscription copies will arrive starting with the next issue.

When am I going to receive my free 6-pack or carton?

The subscription promotion for each issue expires when that issue finishes being on sale. Please see the on sale dates for timing of when to expect the coupon to arrive. Redemption coupons are mailed SEPARATELY to the donor (person that purchased the subscription) of each 2 and 3 year subscription at the beginning of the following month (to allow us to time to have all subscriber data collated, coupons printed and despatched).

The redemption coupon can then be used to redeem the beer at a participating bottle shop. This is usually Dan Murphy’s, please note there are no Dan Murphy’s stores in Tasmania. Note the coupons have an expiry date and should be used ASAP.

If you are the donor and would prefer your gift recipient to receive the coupon(s), please contact our Subscription Department to request this.
