Is your beer your personality?

AddThis Social Bookmark Button

An interesting study was conducted recently, where Mindset Media, a market research firm from the States “specializing in psychographics”, interviewed 2600 people about their beer tastes and trends.

The findings were reported in the Advertising Age Magazine and were featured in the Courier Mail over the weekend.

Here are a few of the findings:-

  • Drinkers of Heineken could be summed up as “posers” who get high scores on self-esteem and low scores on modesty.
  • Corona drinkers like to party, are energetic and extremely extroverted.
  • Light beer drinkers are 48% more likely to play the lottery.
  • Perhaps relevant to our readers is that craft beer drinkers tend to be happy-go-lucky about life. They are 153 per cent more likely to buy organic, 52 per cent more likely to be fans of The Office, 36% more likely to be the ones to choose the movie they are going to see at the theatre.

What does the beer you drink say about you?

The guys at Mindset Media really know your beer, or atleast through their market research have discovered a few helpful hints regarding beer personalities I'm not quite confident about the authenticity of the statstics seeing you can pretty much corollate anything these days nothing of which means they're directly related to each other. I saw the same statistics posted on www.knowyourbeer.info where another clever chap asked what craft beer was and still wondering i stumbled over here to asked exactly what craft beer is?
